Vehicle Handler – New Vehicle LoadingLocation: Georgetown, KYA-Shift Pay: $18.75 per hourB-Shift Pay: $19.75 per hourJob Type: Full-time | On-siteStart Your Career with Road & Rail ServicesRoad & Rail Services is hiring dependable Vehicle Handlers to help prepare and load new vehicles for rail transportation. In this position, you will inspect and drive new vehicles through the facility and onto railcars while following established safety and quality procedures.This is an active, outdoor position that requires attention to detail, safe driving habits, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. If you enjoy working around new vehicles, staying physically active, and completing work that directly supports the automotive transportation industry, we encourage you to apply.What You Will DoSafely drive new vehicles throughout the facility and onto railcars for transportationInspect vehicles before and after movement for visible damage or quality concernsMaintain proper spacing and positioning while loading vehiclesFollow all customer, company, and facility driving proceduresEnter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the shiftClimb railcar ladders and work at heights of approximately 16 to 20 feetWalk and stand for extended periods on paved and uneven surfacesLift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 poundsWork outdoors in heat, cold, rain, snow, and changing weather conditionsCommunicate safety, damage, and operational concerns to supervisionWork cooperatively with other vehicle handlers to meet daily production goalsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work areaQualificationsValid state-issued driver's licenseSafe and responsible driving recordAbility to understand and follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work assigned hours, including overtime, weekends, or holidays when requiredComfortable working outdoors and at elevated heightsAble to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shiftStrong attendance, reliability, and attention to detailPrior experience as a vehicle handler, yard driver, lot attendant, automotive porter, or vehicle loader is helpful but not requiredPay and BenefitsA-Shift: $18.75 per hourB-Shift: $19.75 per hourMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchingPaid holidaysPaid time off after one yearAnnual shoe and boot allowanceCompany-provided personal protective equipmentOpportunities for advancement through our promote-from-within cultureAbout Road & Rail ServicesSince 1987, Road & Rail Services has provided specialized logistics and transportation support to the railroad and automotive industries.
