Recreation Director (Activities Director)
$65,000–$75,000 per year
Skilled Nursing of Far Rockaway is hiring a Recreation Director to lead resident life at our modern, beautifully maintained skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. The Recreation Director shapes the daily experience of our residents in a warm, family-like community backed by a strong, well-established skilled nursing organization. As Recreation Director, you'll have the resources and leadership support to build a program residents look forward to every day. Prior nursing home experience is required for the Recreation Director position.

Recreation Director Duties
Plan, schedule, and lead a full calendar of recreation and activity programs for residents
Complete recreation assessments and care plan documentation, including Minimum Data Set (MDS) requirements
Supervise, schedule, and train the recreation and activities staff
Partner with nursing, social services, and families to meet each resident's interests and needs
Keep the recreation program compliant with New York State and federal regulations

Recreation Director Qualifications
Experience as a Recreation Director or Activities Director
Must have experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting — prior nursing home experience is required
